Child inclusive mediation
Child inclusive consultations are offered to school age children as part of their parent’s mediation process. The purpose of child inclusive mediation is to provide children and young people with a safe and developmentally appropriate opportunity to express their experiences, thoughts and
feelings regarding their parents' separation.
The child consultant's role is to hear the child's voice and assist parents by providing feedback that supports the Family Dispute Resolution process. During these sessions children are never asked to make decisions about where they should live or to decide on any other arrangements in regards to their care. These types of decisions remain the responsibility of the child/ren’s parents.
If you are interested in child inclusive practice for your family, please talk with me.
